I am an avid many things: a creator, a music player, a jewelry wearer and maker, a wannabe interior decorator, a shoe designer, a dancer, foodie, and worker-outer. I am also, in my waking hours, a psychotherapist, a leader of a team, obsessed with my family and friends, and the partner of the coolest person I know. I am an intuitive listener. I am an innovator. I respond to a challenge with initial fear, followed by a head-down get-it-done fervor. I am inspired by other people’s passions, brilliance, and grit. I crave inspirational moments and visceral shifts. My art is an expression of all of these parts. It births, it becomes, and sometimes I figure it out before it’s complete. Upcycled collage seems to be my thing. I take pieces and parts and reassemble to create anew. Sometimes it’s a feeling, other times it tells a story. And above all else, I hope my creations invite a playful smirk, a gleeful smile, or just a giggle.
